Chairman, President & CEO

Mr. Ward has been a member of our Board of Directors since 2013 and has served as Chairman since November 2014. Mr. Ward served as our Interim President and Chief Executive Officer commencing in November 2015. In August 2016, Mr. Ward was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer.

From 2013 until 2019, Mr. Ward served as a Managing Director at SightLine Partners.  From 1981 to 2010, Mr. Ward was employed by Medtronic, Inc., and held a number of senior leadership positions. Mr. Ward was Senior Vice President and President of Medtronic’s CardioVascular business from May 2007 to November 2010. Prior to that he was Senior Vice President and President of Medtronic’s Vascular business from May 2004 to May 2007, Senior Vice President and President of Medtronic’s Neurological and Diabetes business, from February 2002 to May 2004, and was President of Medtronic’s Neurological business from January 2000 to January 2002. He was Vice President and General Manager of Medtronic’s Drug Delivery business from 1995 to 2000. Prior to that, Mr. Ward led Medtronic’s Neurological Ventures in the successful development of new therapies. Mr. Ward serves on the boards of several private companies. Until April 4, 2016, Mr. Ward was the Chairman of the Board of Creganna Medical. Mr. Ward served as a member of the Board of Surmodics, Inc., from September 2010 to March 2015.

Harrison Boyd

Vice President & General Manager, US

Mr. Boyd joined CSI in 2015, and is responsible for leading CSI’s Coronary Franchise.  During his tenure with CSI, he has held roles of increasing responsibility, including Vice President of Sales and Vice President and General Manager, Coronary.  Prior to joining CSI, Mr. Boyd held numerous leadership positions in the electrophysiology field.  Mr. Boyd brings 20 years of cardiology and healthcare experience to his role at CSI.

Matt Cambronne

Vice President, Research & Development

Mr. Cambronne joined CSI in March 2007 and is responsible for leading CSI’s Research and Development organization. He brings 19 years of experience in medical device product and technology development, previously holding roles in materials engineering and metallurgy at Boston Scientific. Mr. Cambronne received a BS in Materials Engineering and Metallurgy from Iowa State University and an MBA from Augsburg College.

Jeffrey W. Chambers, M.D.

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Chambers joined CSI in March 2022.  He received his medical degree from Wayne State University and completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at the University of Minnesota. He has been employed at the Metropolitan Heart and Vascular Institute since 1995. Dr. Chambers is a serial entrepreneur with numerous issued patents, some of which are associated with devices commercially available today. He is a Fellow at The American College of Cardiology and is a member of The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.

Philip Freed

Vice President of Marketing

Mr. Freed joined CSI in 2022 as Vice President of Marketing for our coronary franchise. He brings 25 years of medical device and healthcare experience from working at Stryker, Getinge/Maquet, Intuitive Surgical, and Johnson & Johnson. Philip received his project management certifications and his six-sigma blackbelt professional to focus on FDA quality and regulatory remediation.

Peter Hirshman

Vice President of Quality & Operations

Mr. Hirshman joined CSI in January 2019 and is responsible for leading CSI’s Quality and Operations organizations.  Mr. Hirshman has over 20 years of medical device industry experience, most recently as a Director of Operations at Abbott within the Electrophysiology Division.  Prior to Abbott, he served in various leadership roles at Boston Scientific, AGA Medical, NxThera and St. Jude Medical.

Stacia Kraus

Vice President of Clinical Affairs

Ms. Kraus joined CSI in July 2021 and is responsible for leading the Clinical Affairs Organization in the trial design, execution, management, analysis and reporting of clinical trials.  Prior to joining CSI, Ms. Kraus held leadership roles overseeing global Biostatistics, Data Management, and Project Management teams at a Clinical Research Organization, NAMSA.  Ms. Kraus brings over 20 years of experience in biostatistics and clinical research with a focus on medical device trial design, data strategy and analysis.  Ms. Kraus holds a MPH in Biostatistics from the University of Minnesota.

Vice President, Investor Relations & Corporate Communications

Mr. Nielsen joined CSI in March 2014. He has over 25 years of investment experience. Before joining CSI, Mr. Nielsen served as Director of Investor Relations at Xcel Energy and prior served as Director of Finance at Regis Corporation. Mr. Nielsen began his career as a securities analyst, covering a variety of high growth companies for Minneapolis-based investment banks. He served as a member of the National Investor Relations Institute Twin Cities board of directors from 2007 to 2019.

Vice President, Information Technology

Mr. O’Brien joined CSI in June 2022 and provides leadership across all aspects of CSI’s information technology environment across strategy, execution, operations, employee experience, and cybersecurity.  Mr. O’Brien has over 25 years of information technology experience – he most recently served in roles as the Vice President of IT Management Operations and Vice President Commercial IT at Medtronic.  Prior to Medtronic, he served in roles with St. Jude Medical (now Abbott) and Carlson Companies, Inc. with focus on enterprise technology design & operations, audit, and cybersecurity.

Mr. Points joined CSI in September 2007 as Corporate Controller, became Senior Director and Controller in July 2013, Corporate Controller and Treasurer in January 2015, Vice President, Corporate Controller and Treasurer in May 2017 and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in February 2018. From July 2005 to September 2007, Mr. Points was Assistant Controller at Empi, a manufacturer and provider of non-invasive medical products for pain management and physical rehabilitation. From January 1998 to July 2005, Mr. Points held various leadership positions at CliftonLarsonAllen, a national public accounting firm. Mr. Points also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for The Phoenix Residence, Inc.

Mr. Quintero joined CSI as Vice President of US Sales in 2022. Raoul is responsible for achieving our US revenue objectives with direct responsibility for Peripheral Sales, Coronary Sales, National Accounts, Commercial Operations and Analytics, and Sales Enablement.

Raoul’s career spans over 20 years in all aspects of commercial leadership, therapies, and markets. Prior to joining CSI, he served as General Manager at Stryker Orthopedics, acted in several roles of increasing responsibility at the Getinge Group including President and CEO, led the US Sales organization at Maquet Cardiovascular, and served as the Cardiovascular Sales Leader at Boston Scientific.

Steve Rempe

Mr. Rempe joined CSI in May 2019. He provides leadership in talent acquisition, organization development and effectiveness and talent development as we continue to scale our business. Mr. Rempe has over 20 years of human resources experience, most recently at Smiths Medical as Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources and prior, serving as Vice President of Global Talent Management at Boston Scientific. Mr. Rempe serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for The Works, a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire the next generation of engineers, innovators and creative problem solvers.

Mr. Rosenstein joined CSI in September 2014 as Corporate Legal and Compliance Counsel, became Corporate Secretary in November 2014, and was promoted to General Counsel in March 2015. From October 2005 to September 2014, Mr. Rosenstein was an attorney at Fredrikson & Byron, P.A., in Minneapolis. From 1998 to September 2005, he was an attorney practicing in New York City.

Sandra Sedo

Chief Compliance Officer

Ms. Sedo joined CSI in June 2016. As Chief Compliance Officer, she is responsible for managing the company’s ethics and compliance program, including implementation of a Corporate Integrity Agreement. Ms. Sedo has over 25 years of experience as a lawyer and compliance professional, including being a partner at Dorsey & Whitney, LLP and as an in-house attorney and Deputy Compliance Officer at Medtronic. Ms. Sedo has worked exclusively in the medical device industry since 2005.

Ms. Uriell joined CSI in 2021 and is responsible for leading CSI’s Regulatory Affairs.  Prior to joining CSI, Ms. Uriell held numerous regulatory leadership positions in the medical device industry.  Ms. Uriell brings over 20 years of regulatory and healthcare experience to her role at CSI.

Chris Volker

Mr. Volker joined CSI in August 2014 as Vice President of Corporate Development and Healthcare Economics & Reimbursement and was promoted to General Manager of International in 2017. Prior to CSI, Mr. Volker held senior leadership positions at St. Jude Medical including responsibilities for Corporate Development, Health Economics & Reimbursement, Strategic Market Research and Human Resources. He began his career working in investment banking and venture capital. Mr. Volker received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Management from St. John’s University and an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

She is also a director of CONMED Corporation and Beta Bionics, Inc., and previously served as a director of Methode Electronics from 2016 to 2019, Hutchinson Technology from 2010 to 2016, when it was acquired, and Clinical Innovations from 2017 to 2020, when it was acquired.

He is also a Cardiothoracic Surgeon and a professor of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Cohn is the Chief Medical Officer of BiVACOR USA, a privately-held medical device company.  He is also a venture partner with Santé Ventures, an early stage life science fund in Austin, Texas. Dr. Cohn has more than 90 U.S. patents granted or pending for medical device development.

Mr. Lawlor is the Managing Partner of HealthCare Ventures, LLC, where he was a Managing Director from 2000 to 2007.  Mr. Lawlor is also the Chief Operating Officer of Leap Therapeutics.  Mr. Lawlor was previously Chief Operating Officer of LeukoSite, Inc. and has also served as a management consultant with KPMG Peat Marwick.  Mr. Lawlor serves on the Board of Directors of Catalyst Biosciences, Inc., as well as several private companies.  He served on the Board of Directors of Human Genome Sciences, Inc., from March 2004 to August 2012, and the Board of Directors of Replidyne, Inc., from March 2002 to February 2009.

From 2009 to 2019, he represented Minnesota’s Third Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives. During his tenure, Mr. Paulsen was a leading member on the House Ways and Means Committee, the House’s chief tax-writing body with broad jurisdiction over healthcare, economic and trade policy. Mr. Paulsen was also Chairman of Congress’ Joint Economic Committee, a unique House-Senate panel tasked with working alongside the President’s Council of Economic Advisors and the Federal Reserve Board to identify and address macroeconomic trends. Mr. Paulsen was co-chair of the bipartisan House Medical Technology Caucus, as well. Prior to his service in Congress, Mr. Paulsen was a member of the Minnesota State Legislature, where he served as House Majority Leader. Mr. Paulsen has over 16 years of business experience, including working as a business analyst at Target Corporation.

A retired partner of Ernst & Young LLP (EY), Mr. Stenbeck brings 36 years of experience serving Fortune 500, midcap, and small cap public company audit clients in the medical device, retail, consumer products, distribution, airline and media and entertainment industries. Clients served as coordinating partner include several public medical device companies with significant international operations. Mr. Stenbeck also served for three years as a Professional Practice partner at EY consulting on technical accounting matters.  Mr. Stenbeck currently serves on the board of trustees of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Edina, Minnesota.

Mr. Womack recently retired as the Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Prior to this role, he served for 30 years as a consulting professional, primarily in the healthcare industry. His more recent roles include leading the federal healthcare consulting practices for Deloitte, LLP and BearingPoint, Inc. From 2007 until 2019 he served as a board member of the Children’s Inn at the National Institute of Health, including two years as Chairman of the Board.
